Fiji Throwing Club

A very fine Fiji Island, Polynesian thrown club with an organic inclusion head, and an unusual carved handle termination decorative treatment. The piece has wonderful patina and carved decoration; there is a hole through the haft that appears to be a 19th century addition for a wrist cord (possibly by a sailor).
